Trim Levels
The 2020 Ford EcoSport is available in four trim packages. Trim options include the S, SE, Titanium, and SES. Every EcoSport includes features such as daytime running lights, power mirrors with integrated blind-spot warning, a rear swing gate, and halogen headlights. The SE, Titanium, and SES model also include fog lights, roof rails, a power moon roof with sunshade, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Aluminum wheels are standard on all models.
Exterior paint colors for the 2020 EcoSport include ruby red, canyon ridge orange, lightning blue, smoke, black, moondust silver, white platinum, diamond white, and race red.
Engine
The S, SE, and Titanium EcoSport trims feature a turbocharged, 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine that includes direct injection and Auto Stop-Start technology. The top-of-the-line SES is built with a turbocharged, 2.0-liter I-4 engine. All models feature a six-speed automatic transmission. The S, SE, and Titanium trims are front-wheel drive, with available all-wheel drive. The SES comes with only four-wheel drive.
Performance
Every trim of the 2020 EcoSport includes electric power-assisted steering to enhance responsiveness and reduce steering effort when driving in heavy wind or on slick surfaces. Advanced technology such as torque vectoring control, traction control, and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control are standard on all models. This advanced tech improves traction, braking power, handling, and stability in a variety of challenging road conditions.
All models provide an EPA-rated highway fuel efficiency of 29 mpg. Towing capacity varies depending on the engine. Properly equipped, the 1.0-liter engine has a maximum towing capacity of 1,400 pounds. The 2.0-liter engine can tow a maximum of 2,000 pounds.
Interior
The 2020 EcoSport interior can seat five comfortably. Upholstery options include cloth, leather, and ActiveX. ActiveX is a durable, comfortable synthetic fabric found only on the EcoSport SES trim. Standard interior comfort features include power windows, steering-wheel-mounted audio/cruise controls, and lots of interior cubbies. With all seats in use, the EcoSport has a cargo capacity of 20.9 cubic feet. The rear seat is a 60/40 split bench that can be folded flat to provide more cargo room when needed.
Every Ecosport trim includes a plethora of infotainment features. A 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, power outlets, USB ports, satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and hands-free phone are standard across the lineup. Voice-activated navigation and an 8-inch touch screen are also standard on the Titanium and SES models. Music lovers will enjoy the Bang and Olufsen 10-speaker premium audio system standard on the Titanium.
Safety Features
A suite of advanced air bags, second-row LATCH, and child-safety locks are standard on all models. Other standard features include remote keyless entry, a rearview camera, and emergency brake assist. Ford's standard SOS Post Crash Alert System helps decrease emergency response time after an accident by automatically flashing your lights and honking the horn. All trims except for the S also include a reverse sensing system.
